NoMeatAthlete.

This is one website that I can lose so much time on. No Meat Athlete is a website that is dedicated to vegetarians and vegans (and those who want to eat less meat) who are, mostly, running athletes. There are great articles about proper eating, especially when working out, and great info for different training programs. They also have a pretty delicious recipe selection...I'm a sucker for good food.

those yummy delicious cravings.

I've been craving a yummy, delicious, decadent cupcake for a while now.
Alright, it's settled. I'll have to stop by Magnolia after classes today...if there is any cupcake bakery that will curb those cravings it will definitely be Magnolia!

Although I am no top chef, I do pride myself on being relatively good cook. I love cooking a good homemade meal for myself after a long day of classes, work, and working out. About six years ago I became a vegetarian because I do not like the idea of killing animals just so I can eat, especially when plants offer the same nutrients. I like knowing that I am eating healthy and positively affecting the earth. There are many more positives to switching to a plant-based diet other than just health. I will not go into all of them but I will definitely share my thoughts and arguments with anyone who wants to hear them!
While I love being a vegetarian it is sometimes hard to find filling meal ideas. So I turn to cookbooks and recipe blogs! A lot of meat recipes can be altered to fit my vegetarian diet but I always am more inspired by vegan and vegetarian blogs. Here are some of my go-to's:

Veggie Belly is a go-to site for recipes for me. It is a vegetarian recipe blog that always has killer ideas and delicious looking photos. Cannot get enough of this website's "How-To" section, a life saver.

A little bit more of a life style blog, Love, Veggies and Yoga is a website I visit when I want to feel inspired to get out and move around a little. I, too, practice yoga and like the simple and delicious recipes offered to follow up my workouts with.

Vegan eating has always intrigued me. I would love to move to a more vegan diet but it really is a complete lifestyle change. Would Rather Gather offers me inspiration for dinning. I visit this blog to get some vegan ideas and try and incorporate them more into my diet.
